FOR KIDS - WITH LOVE

Art & Children's Rights Event

"Ins Licht" by Dieter Mammel

FOR KIDS - WITH LOVE is the pilot project for our newly launched series VOICE OF ART.

The series works sustainable and in a long-term. Each project of the series is initiated as an event. The focus is on an art exhibition in which invited artists raise their voices with current works on selected topics of children's and human rights. In addition, the event includes further initiatives. We invite charity partners, focus on special aid programs, conduct information and education events, or launch international calls.

Artists for Children's Rights

December 2014 to February 2015

We are launching the series on occasion of the 25th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, with a thematic focus on children's rights. We have invited an international group of established artists to dedicate themselves with current works, to articles of the children's rights, which are particularly important to them and to raise their voices for these children's concerns.

In the context of this event the works of the artists are for sale We have focused special support programs of selected charity partners, which can be supported by the proceeds. Each artist determines in which help program the proceeds from his work will flow. For the opening of the event and exhibition a catalogue will be released.

TOPIC

The next era of human development:
UNICEF and the Post-2015 Development Agenda

For nearly 15 years, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) have been a guiding force on many issues affecting the lives of children, young people and their families. Much progress has been made in reducing preventable child deaths, getting more children into schools (including girls), reducing extreme poverty and in ensuring more people have access to safe water.

With the MDGs era coming to an end this year, 2015, the world has a historic opportunity to set a course for the next era of human development that is transformational for both people and planet. Already millions have been involved in crafting what this new sustainable development agenda will look like: governments, civil society, the private sector, academia, the UN system, concerned citizens and others. ... | © by UNICEF

The central message must be that sustainable development starts with safe, healthy and well-educated children.

THE EVENT | Long-term initiative

The aim of this Art & Children's Rights Event is to direct public attention on children's rights and to create long-term effects. To this end, we have initiated the following initiative:

AWARENESS

There are still many babies dying by a Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS). Many parents do not know, how big the danger of violent movements is. To inform parents, family members and other caregivers about the dangers related to violently shaking a baby and how SBS can be prevented can save many lives. In the course of our initiative AWARENESS we have established information portals to the topic Shaken Baby Syndrome and we have supported the Kinderschutzgruppe Charité Berlin to provide their existing aid programme more comprehensive to Berlin citizens.
